A personalized URL or PURL is a unique URL generated for each recipient. The PURL takes the recipient to his or her own pre-generated, personalized mini site.

PURLs can be generated as part of a printed direct mail or email campaign and they make it possible to learn more about customer preferences, attitudes or habits, in addition to gathering even more valuable data.
